Telangana State Assembly Budget Sessions From March 16: Budget On 20TH

Hyderabad, Feb 24 (Maxim News): The government took key decisions in the cabinet meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of the Telangana CM. The cabinet discussed and approved several key issues related to the state. In this meeting, the focus was especially on the conduct of assembly sessions, the future of the metro rail, and the education and medical sectors.

Assembly meeting schedule

The Cabinet has decided to hold the budget sessions of the state legislature from March 16 to 30. In these sessions, which will begin with the Governor’s address on March 16, the state government will present the annual budget on March 20.

Key decision on Hyderabad Metro

The government has decided to take full ownership of the Hyderabad Metro project, which is currently under the management of L&T. This is likely to speed up the maintenance and expansion work.

Medical and educational fields:

To further strengthen the administration in the medical and health department, a decision was taken to change the name of the ‘Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad’ to ‘Directorate of Secondary Health’. The employees working in it were also brought under the purview of the government. In the education sector, 70 acres of land were allocated for the establishment of JNTU College in Gummadur. In the spiritual sector, 20 acres of land were allocated for the construction of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) in Khammam, and the cabinet also gave the green signal for the allocation of land required for the construction of Congress party offices in the districts.
