Telangana TET From June 15

Hyderabad, April 12 (Maxim News): The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET) will be conducted from June 15 to 30. The notification in this regard was released by director of School Education EV Narasimha Reddy on Friday.

Applications for the TET examination will be accepted online from June 15 to 30. The results of the examination will be released on July 27. The Education Department has said that a comprehensive information bulletin related to this will be released on June 15.

Previously, TET was conducted from May 20 to June 2, 2024. A total of 2,36,487 people appeared for this exam for two papers. However, officials are expecting more applications for TET this time as the government has announced that it will conduct DSC soon. The exam fee has been fixed at Rs. 750 for one paper and Rs. 1,000 for two papers. Candidates who have done B.Ed will have the opportunity to write two papers. The fee will have to be paid online along with the application. Language scholars can also apply with relevant qualifications.

TET is conducted in two papers. Those who have completed Diploma in Elementary Education and Diploma in Education are eligible to write Paper-1. They can teach classes 1-5 based on their TET qualifications. They can compete for SGT posts in DSC. Those who have done bachelor of Education (B.Ed) will have to write Paper-2 related to their qualification to teach higher classes. They can apply for School Assistant posts in DSC. Candidates can apply even if they have written the relevant exams and are waiting for the results.

The question papers for Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be for 150 marks. The questions will be selected by the Director of School Education and the Chairperson of the TGTET Committee.

Candidates from the general category will be considered eligible if they secure 60 percent marks in the exam, BCs 50 percent marks, SC, ST and Divyangs 40 percent marks. The TET eligibility certificate will be valid for life. There will also be 20 percent weightage for the TET score in teacher recruitment.
