Telangana VHP Demands Holiday On April 23 (Hanuman Jayanti Day)

Hyderabad, April 19 (Maxim News) Telangana Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal leaders have demanded the government declare an official holiday on april 23 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.  They demanded that Hanuman Jayanti, celebrated by Hindus with great devotion, be declared as a holiday.

Speaking to the media persons, here today, VHP State President, Narasimha Murthy Pandarinath and Bajrang Dal State convener Shiv Ramulu said that Hanuman Jayanti is the most celebrated festival of Hindus after Vinayaka festivals and Sri Ram Navami celebrations.  He said that every year, Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra is being organized this year as well.

About 3 lakh Hindus will participate in this rally to be organized from Gowliguda Sri Rama Mandir to Tad Bund Hanuman Mandir on April 23.  On this occasion, Telangana Government has been requested to declare Hanuman Jayanthi as an official holiday.  (Maxim News)
