The weather department has advised residents and farmers to remain alert as conditions may change quickly during thunderstorms.
Strong winds could cause trees, electricity poles and loose structures to fall. The disaster management authorities have advised people to avoid taking shelter under trees or near old buildings during heavy rain and lightning.
Residents should also stay away from damaged electrical wires and follow official weather bulletins for district-specific updates.
The developing weather pattern could bring relief from the recent warm conditions. However, rainfall intensity and distribution may vary between districts.
