Telangana will bear air expenses, bring students from Ukraine: KTR
Hyderabad, Feb.25 (Maxim News): The Telangana State government today urged the Centre to bring safely the people and students of the State stranded in Ukraine, which is facing war and related tensions with Russia. The State government informed the Centre that it will bear all expenditure for airlifting Telangana people and students from the war-torn Ukraine.
IT & Industries Minister K T Rama Rao made an appeal to this extent in his Twitter handle. KTR urged External Affairs Minister Jai Shankar to bring State people and students through aircraft safely. The State government was ready to bear total expenditure for bringing Telangana people and students from Ukraine and hoped that the Centre will immediately take all measures to shift them safely, he said.
“The Centre has already begun airlifting operations from Delhi and shifting Indians from Ukraine. About 20,000 people from our country are in Ukraine seeking safe return. Some of the students and youths of India in Ukraine are scared of war, bomb sounds and attacks. They have urged the Centre and States to shift them safely. (Maxim News)
