Telangana’s Tribute to Icons: A Wave of Statues Unveiled & Proposed
Hyderabad, March 22 (Maxim News): Over the past 15 months, Telangana has seen a surge in statue inaugurations and proposals, honoring the legacies of prominent leaders and cultural figures.
Statues Unveiled:
The Congress government has inaugurated several statues across the state, including:
- Telangana Talli at the Secretariat
- Rajiv Gandhi at the Secretariat & Uppal Stadium
- Jaipal Reddy at Kalwakurthy
- Gaddar at Tellapur
- Ambedkar at Open University
Upcoming Statue Installations:
The government has also announced plans for several new statues, including:
- Telangana Talli at all 33 District Collectorates
- Tallest Gandhi Statue at Bapu Ghat
- 100-ft NTR Statue at Outer Ring Road (ORR)
- Manmohan Singh at Financial District
- Ratan Tata at Adibatla
- Rosaiah at Nature Cure Hospital
Additionally, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has proposed installing statues of prominent Telangana personalities along Tank Bund. A Cabinet sub-committee is expected to be formed to oversee this ambitious project.
These initiatives highlight the government’s efforts to commemorate and honor influential leaders who have played a pivotal role in shaping Telangana’s history and development. (Maxim News)
