Temperatures In Telangana May Rise To 44°C, Orange Alert Issued

Hyderabad: After a week of respite brought in by thunder and hail storms, temperatures are expected to start soaring again across the State.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad on Thursday issued an orange alert for 15 districts in Telangana with a forecast of temperature hovering between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius.

While maintaining that dry weather will continue throughout the State, the IMD-Hyderabad in its forecast said, “maximum temperatures are likely to gradually rise by 2 degree Celsius and 3 degree Celsius during next few days”.

The districts where maximum temperatures will hover between 41 degree Celsius and 44 Celsius include Adilabad, Kothagudem, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Khammam, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli and Wanaparthy.

Temperatures in remaining districts are expected to hover between 36 degree Celsius and 40 degree Celsius.

On Wednesday, nine districts – Adilabad (41 degree Celsius), Kumuram Bheem Asifabad (40.9 degree Celsius), Nizamabad and Wanaparthy (40.9 degree Celsius), Bhadradri Kothagudem (40.7degree Celsius), Kamareddy (40.6 degree Celsius), Nirmal ( 40.5 degree Celsius), Mancherial (40.4 degree Celsius) and Nalgonda recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.1 degree Celsius.

The temperatures in others parts including Hyderabad and neighboring districts hovered between 38 degree Celsius and 39 degree Celsius.
