The late-night move triggered a tense exchange as Surekha’s daughter, Konda Sushmita, confronted the team and demanded clear reasons for the arrest bid. She said she was angry that the police were not giving proper reasons for Sumanth’s arrest.

Speaking to the media, Sushmita questioned the officers at the gate and asked why they came to her house, or whether they came to arrest her mother. She further asked, “did they come to arrest my mother?” and added, “She asked if it was wrong to be loyal to CM Revanth Reddy.” Her remarks set off a political flashpoint, as she pressed for clarity on the basis of the operation and the identity of the personnel who had arrived late at night.

Konda Sushmita remarks fuel late-night

According to what was stated to Sushmita, the task force police had said that Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy had filed a complaint that Sumanth had threatened a person with a revolver at point blank range in the Deccan Cement Company file in Huzurnagar constituency.

However, she said that when they called Minister Uttam in this regard, he said that it was surprising that he had not given any complaint. Therefore, the cited claim and her counter raised further doubts over the grounds of the attempt to arrest Sumanth.

Sushmita also commented that Rahul Gandhi and government leaders are making speeches on BC reservations in the state, but everyone is conspiring against her mother without even considering that she is a BC child.

She then made sensational allegations that Vem Narender Reddy, Kadiyam Srihari, CM Revanth Reddy, and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy were involved in this entire episode.

Meanwhile, even as the task force police were at the house, Minister Konda Surekha left in her car with Sumanth and went to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar’s house, adding another twist to the midnight episode.
