TGSRTC To Run 7,754 Special Buses For Bathukamma, Dussehra

Hyderabad, Sept 19 (Maxim News): The Telangana Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has taken steps to ensure that people do not face any transportation problems during the Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals. For this, it has prepared a plan to run 7,754 special buses across the state. Out of these, an advance reservation facility has been provided for 377 special services. These special buses will run from the 20th of this month to October 2.

Keeping in mind the Saddula Bathukamma on 30th of this month and Dussehra on October 2nd, the RTC will make these special buses available from 27th of this month as many people are likely to go to their hometowns. For the return journey, buses will also be arranged on October 5th and 6th according to the rush.

These special buses will be operated from MGBS, JBS in Hyderabad as well as from KPHB Colony. Uppal Cross Roads, Uppal Bus Stand, Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Aramgarh and other areas where there is a lot of passenger traffic.  These buses will operate from Hyderabad and Secunderabad to Andhra Pradesh, karnataka and Maharashtra.

The state government will revise the ticket prices in Dussehra special buses as per G.O.No.16.  This revision will be as per the minimum diesel costs incurred by empty buses on the return journey.  The revised charges will be applicable only in special buses running from 20th to 30th of this month and on October 1, 5th and 6th.  there will be no change in the charges of regular services running on those days.

In view of the Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals, the organization is ready to provide safe travel to the people.  This time, we have arranged 617 additional special buses compared to the last Dussehra.  We have already issued instructions to the field level officers to set up public address systems along with facilities like shamianas, chairs, drinking water and other facilities for the convenience of passengers in LB Nagar, Uppal, aramgarh, KPHB, Santosh Nagar and other areas.  We are appointing supervisory officers in each crowded azrea.  They will make special buses available depending on the passenger traffic, said RTC MD VC Sajjanar.

He advised not to travel in private vehicles with white number plates and face any problems.  He said that TGSRTC has very experienced drivers who will take passengers to their destinations safely.  He advised to make advance reservations for special services on the official website of the organisation.  He said that for complete information regarding dussehra special services, TSRTC call center numbers 040-63440000, 040-23450033 should be contacted.
