Hyderabad, March 02: EVDM Director, Election District Nodal Officer Prakash Reddy said that inspection teams will play an active role in ensuring that elections are conducted freely and peacefully without succumbing to any temptations. A training program was organized for the SST and FST teams at the GHMC head office on Saturday to prepare the inspection teams in the background of the upcoming Parliament elections. On this occasion, District Nodal Officers EVDM Director and Election Expenditure Inspector Sarath Chandra explained the manner of dealing with these groups.

It was explained that the responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with the election code of conduct and the rules and regulations should be followed. Otherwise, they warned that regular training measures will be taken as per the election rules. The inspectors explained their responsibilities to prevent money laundering and ensure that voters exercise their right to vote freely and calmly without succumbing to temptations. He said that special efforts should be made to help voters avoid temptation.

Every act of seizing should be video graphed to comply with election norms while seizing cash and other items. He said that the FST teams will perform their duties from the date of release of the election notification, while the YST teams will have to perform their duties from the nomination process. Actions should be taken as per the rules of the money seized and all the evidences should be identified and video graphed. C-Whistle has to respond immediately to the complaints and resolve them within 100 minutes.
