Third 26 Opposition Parties Meet To Be Held In Mumbai, Date Will Be Released Soon: Kharge
Bengaluru/Hyderabad, July 18 (Maxim News): The 26 Opposition parties which are moving ahead with the aim of defeating the ruling BJP, have already concluded two rounds of meetings and have decided to hold a third round of meetings at Mumbai for which the date will announce soon. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge disclosed this to the media.
Briefing the outcome of the second meeting of Opposition parties in Bengaluru, he said that the opposition parties gave a new name to their alliance as “Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA)’ instead of ‘United Progressive Alliance (UPA).
Kharge said that the opposition parties have also decided to form an 11-member coordination committee to fix the affairs of the alliance in the Bengaluru meeting. It has been revealed that the names of those 11 members will be announced in the third round of meetings to be held in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the opposition parties met in Bengaluru for two consecutive days (July 17 and 18) as part of the second phase.
The first round of meetings concluded on June 23 at Patna, the capital of Bihar. about 20 parties attended that meeting and by the second round of meetings held in Bangalore, the number reached 26. In the first meetings, the main discussion was on what to do to defeat the ruling BJP, but in the second round of meetings, decisions were taken such as a new name for the alliance, the formation of a coordination committee, and the third round of meetings.
