Due to disputes with the Maharashtra government, under the united AP State, none of the Telangana projects could make any step further. There were disputes between the Telangana State and AP till recently. While the then AP government put hurdles on the water sharing issues, CM KCR diplomatically forged friendly relationship with the Maharashtra government when the Telangana State was formed and also extended the same to Jagan mohan Reddy’s government, which came to power recently. They have come to an understanding that instead of wasting thousands of TMC of Godavari water into the sea, it is better to utilize water at the optimal level every year by building projects. Against this backdrop that the three CMs have met at the Kaleswaram project inauguration.
Chief Secretary SK Joshi said today will be written in golden letters as it is the day when the Kaleswaram Project was inaugurated within just three years. He expressed happiness that the dream of the CM of cultivating bumper crops in Telangana State is becoming a reality. Joshi thanked everyone who took part in the project work. (Maxim News)
