Three held for transporting ganja to city from Rajahmundry
Hyderabad, March 26 (Maxim News): In a joint operation, the Narayanguda police and Taskforce personnel today arrested three persons in Narayanaguda and seized 40 kg ganja and five mobiles from their possession.
The accused were identified as K. Srinivas Reddy, 37, a native of East Godavari district, G. Shetty Jagadish, 50, a resident of Nalgonda and G. Mohan, 36, of Vishakapatnam. Narayanguda Inspector Ramesh Kumar said the accused used to procure ganja from Rajahmundry @ Rs 3,000 per kg and sell it for Rs 6000 per kg in Hyderabad. As pre-planned, the trio was transporting ganja from Rajahmundry to Hyderabad in APSRTC bus.
On a tip-off, the police teams nabbed the accused at Narayanguda flyover and produced them before the court for judicial remand. (Maxim News)
