Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News): three women were reportedly injured when a lift crashed in an apartment complex at Murad Nagar in Asif Nagar on Sunday night.
The incident occurred when the lift’s rope (traction cable) suddenly snapped on reaching the fourth floor from the ground floor, causing the lift cabin to plummet with occupants inside, local residents told the police.
As per available information, three people suffered injuries in the incident. The other residents at the apartments who heard a loud bang rushed to the spot and started rescuing the victims. They also immediately called the ambulance and shifted the injured to the nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is stable. Though there were two children in the lift, they luckily escaped.
The local police reached the spot and took up investigation into the cause of the crash and circumstances surrounding the lift’s failure. The Asif Nagar Police are investigating. (Maxim News)
