Tiger Movement Triggers Panic Among Farmers In Adilabad

Adilabad/Hyderabad, Oct 30 (Maxim News): Panic gripped farmers of Kosuguda village in Sirikonda mandal after they spotted pugmarks of a tiger in a cotton field on the outskirts of the village on Thursday morning.

The farmers said they were living in constant fear following the big cat’s movement and urged Forest officials to take steps to drive it back into the dense forests to prevent any human casualties.

Earlier, another tiger was sighted in cotton farms at Tamsi (K) and Gunjala villages in Bheempur mandal on Wednesday, causing panic among locals. A photograph showing the tiger moving through the fields went viral on social media. Farmers, who had begun harvesting cotton, suspended the work fearing an attack.

Forest officials suspect that a tiger migrating from Maharashtra may be roaming in the cotton-growing areas. They urged farmers to remain alert, move in groups, and make noise while plucking cotton. Officials said staff had been deployed to track the animal’s movement. (Maxim News)
