Tourism Dept To Organize Intl Kite & Sweet Festival

Hyderabad, Jan.10 (Maxim News): The Tourism Department has decided to celebrate “International Kite & Sweet Festival-2020” from January 13 to 15 at the Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. It is an exciting three-day festival celebrated with fun and frolic which coincides with Makara Sankranti festival of harvest.  The festival brings together regional arts, crafts, cuisine and an array of national and international kites.

The Kite festival will have participation from 15 countries with 40 internatioal and 60 national kite flyers. Besides, a special night-flying event is scheduled to take place on January 13 to 15. Various types of huge kites will be flown during the festival making the sky more colorful.  Various cultural programs will also be organized on the occasion promoting local culture.

Apart from the kite festival, food courts with various cuisines of Telangana, handicrafts and handlooms stalls will be showcased.  Traditional games will also be organized at the Gymkhana grounds during the three-day festival. (Maxim News)
