TPCC chief assures to adopt Munugodu after victory of party candidate

Hyderabad, Nov.1 (NSS): TPCC Chief and party MP A. Revanth Reddy today assured the people of Munugodu that he would adopt the constituency after the victory of the party candidate Palvai Sravanthi in Thursday’s by-election. He also promised to make Sravanthi as State cabinet minister after the Congress returned to power. He said the onus of defeating Sravanthi or ensuring her victory lies on the shoulders of the voters of the constituency. He told the voters to not allow Sravanthi to weep in the constituency.

Revanth Reddy made these remarks while addressing a women’s meeting held in Munugodu along with two women MPs of the party Ranjitha Ranjan and Jothi Mani.

Speaking on the occasion, the TPCC chief said wife of former MLA of the constituency Palvai Govardhan Reddy took part in the meeting seeking the votes of the people of Munugodu and added that she was not coming out of her residence after the death of her husband. He said they would not only field 15 women leaders of the party in the next Assembly elections but also make four women MLAs as the State cabinet ministers, including Sravanthi.

Stating that the soil of Munugodu has a history, he said women leaders like Aarutla Kamala Devi and Mallu Swarajyam were born in the same soil and added that the two women leaders had carried out a brave fight against the atrocities of Razakars while noting that the by-election being held in the constituency is going to change the future of the State.

He exhorted the voters that they were going to give their verdict against the fraud of Prime Minister Narerndra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the by-election. He said the Munugodu voters had got an excellent opportunity to teach a befitting lesson to the PM and the CM. He said the voters have the responsibility to teach a lesson to the BJP, which brought money and liquor bottles from Gujarat and Delhi to induce them.

Targeting BJP candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, he asked the former MLA as to what less the Congress party did to him? He said Rajagopal Reddy joined the BJP after cheating the Congress party that made him an MP, MLC and MLA. Alleging that Rajagopal Reddy was making allout efforts to kill the Congress party in the State, Revanth Reddy warned him of dire consequences if he did not stop his attempts.

MP Ranjitha Ranjan urged the women voters of the constituency to vote for the party candidate Palvai Sravanthi and prove their power in the by-election. She told the voters that the Congress party would have developed the Telangana State as per their aspirations if it was voted to power after formation of the separate State. She made it clear that the real empowerment of the women would be when they vote for a woman candidate in the constituency.

She said the victory of Srvanthi would be a lesson to those who do not like the women. Former Union minister Renuka Choudary, party MLC T. Jeevan Reddy, MLAs D. Sridhar Babu and Seethakka, former ministers J. Geeta Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha and former MLC Prem Sagar Rao also took part in the public meeting. (NSS)
