TPCC Panel On Uranium Issue Meets Today: VH
Hyderabad, Sept.28 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Saturday said the committee constituted by TPCC on uranium mining met in the city. He said they had discussed about the harms caused by uranium extraction at Jharkhand state.
Speaking to mediapersons, VH said the uranium mining would spoil the lives of the people and also damage the Nallamalla forest. Stating that the Nallamalla forest was a gift of God, Rao said the people of Kadapa district were also opposing the uranium extraction.
Rao alleged that the State government had not mentioned the issue of ongoing surveys for the uranium in its resolution adopted in the State Assembly recently. He demanded that CM KCR suspend the GO issued earlier allowing uranium exploration in the State. He also demanded that the CM cancel the permission given to Wild Life Board on the issue. (Maxim News)
