TPCC Slams EC For Not Taking Action Against TRS For Irregularities

Hyderabad, April 9 (Maxim News): TPCC spokesperson Niranjan alleged that Election Commission of India completely failed to hold elections in a proper manner in State. He ridiculed that the meaning of model code of conduct had been reduced to seizing liquor bottles in the State. He also alleged that the Election Commission has become a puppet in the hands of ruling TRS party.

Addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday, Niranjan alleged that the Chief Minister’s camp office had become a political centre to distribute B-forms to the ruling TRS party leaders. He said the EC had issued notices to the CM following their complaint. He alleged that the CM had admitted several rival party leaders into his party in Pragati Bhavan. He also alleged that the Election Commission was not taking any action against religion-based meetings and remained a mute spectator to gross violations.

Citing an example, the TPCC leader said Home Minister Mahmood Ali held a meeting of Muslim Imams and urged them to vote for the TRS party. He wondered whether the Election Commission rules did not apply to the ruling party. He said there was no action against the Chief Secretary despite he released the progress report of the government in violation of model code of conduct. He also said while the Election Commission transferred the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh State, no action was initiated against the Chief Secretary of Telangana State by the EC. (Maxim News)
