Trade Deal: India And US Joint Announcement Soon
Delhi/internet/Hyderabad, Feb 5 (Maxim News): India and the United States recently announced that they have reached a trade agreement (Ind-US Trade Deal). However, the full details of the deal have not been revealed yet. In this context, there are reports in the national media that the two countries will issue a joint statement in the next 4-5 days (India US Joint Statement). After that, complete clarity will come on the details of this agreement.
US President Donald Trump recently announced that a deal has been reached with India. In return, Indian Prime Minister Modi (PM Modi) thanked the US President on the platform of X. Key officials of the Trump government will soon visit India. According to national media reports, the full details of the deal will be clarified after the joint statement of the two countries. The opposition is already criticizing the central government for the lack of clarity on the trade agreement.
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal also recently responded to the agreement. He said that the two countries will sign the first phase of the deal in March. Later, he explained that the US government will issue orders reducing the tariff on India to 18 percent.
It is understood that Indian agriculture, dairy and fisheries sectors will get safeguards in this deal. Sources said that the deal was delayed due to lack of consensus between the two countries on these issues. US Minister Latnick’s statement that the deal was stopped at the last minute after Prime Minister Modi did not call Trump led to further uproar. The Centre has secured safeguards for the agriculture sector in all other trade agreements in the past. It is reported that the same trend will continue with the US deal. (Maxim News)
