Traffic Advisory in Hyderabad Ahead Of Iftar At LB Stadium
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police have issued a traffic advisory for March 25, from 4 PM to 8 PM, due to the state Iftar party at LB Stadium. The event, hosted by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is expected to draw large crowds.
The Iftar party, which is reportedly costing ₹70 crore, has faced criticism from activists and the Welfare Party of India (WPI). They have urged the government to use the money for education and the development of minorities instead.
Traffic Restrictions and Alternate Routes
To manage traffic, police have planned diversions:
- Vehicles from AR Petrol Pump Junction heading to BJR Statue will be diverted towards Nampally.
- Traffic from Basheerbagh to AR Petrol Pump via BJR Statue will be redirected through SBH, Abids, and Nampally station roads.
- Vehicles from Sujatha School Lane heading to Khan Lateef Khan Building will be diverted at Sujatha School Junction towards Nampally.
- RTC buses from Ravindra Bharathi to BJR Statue will be rerouted at AR Petrol Pump towards Nampally, avoiding the LB Stadium main gate.
Areas to Avoid
Police have advised motorists to avoid busy areas like Panjagutta, VV Statue, Rajiv Gandhi Statue, Lakdikapool, Ravindra Bharathi, Basheerbagh, Abids, Nampally, Liberty, Himayath Nagar, MJ Market, and Hyderguda during this time.
Commuters are advised to use alternative routes and expect slow-moving traffic. The Hyderabad Traffic Police recommend checking traffic updates on social media or calling their helpline at 9010203626 for assistance.
