Traffic Road safety meeting held at Cyberabad Commissionerate

Hyderabad, July 16 (Maxim News): Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra, IPS, today held a Traffic road safety review meeting with officials of the traffic wing with regard to traffic issues and road safety. He enquired about the traffic issues being faced and asked officials to co-ordinate.

Issues related to prevention of road accidents, road safety, traffic awareness, traffic engineering and works, inadequate illumination, rumble strips, road markings, junction improvements, sign boards, black spots, U turn, footpaths, foot over bridges, water logging, drainage and water leakage were discussed.

During the meeting, the current safety scenario on the roads in the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits was presented and the identified road accidents blackspots were brought to the knowledge of the officials. While discussing the causes for accidents at various accident blackspots, it was decided to conduct joint inspections and take engineering measures to prevent further accidents at the same spots. The CP instructed the officials to conduct frequent drunken and driving checking and more particular enforcement on violations which may cause fatal and non-fatal accidents.

The CP stressed the need for co-ordinated efforts by all the stakeholding departments to reduce fatalities and injuries on roads in Cyberabad. It was decided that Inspectors should project the most accident-prone areas and take remedial measures for road safety.
