Tragedy Strikes During Ugadi: Mother and Three Children Drown in Kamareddy

Kamareddy/Hyderabad, March 30 (Maxim News): A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Kamareddy district during the Ugadi festival, as a mother and her three children drowned in a pond, leaving their family and the entire village in deep sorrow.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as:

  • Mounika (26)
  • Mythili (10)
  • Akshara (8)
  • Vinay (age yet to be confirmed)

How the Tragedy Unfolded

According to reports, Mounika, a resident of Venkatapur in Yellareddy mandal, was washing clothes at a pond when her children entered the water to bathe. Unaware of the depth, they soon began to drown. In a desperate attempt to save them, Mounika jumped in, but tragically, she too was unable to escape.

All four family members drowned in the pond, leaving the village in shock and grief.

Authorities have been informed, and further investigations are underway.
