TRS, BJP planning to “kill” Congress in Munugodu: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad, Oct.26 (NSS): TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy today alleged that the ruling TRS and Opposition BJP were trying to “kill” the Congress party in the Munugodu by-election. He said all the surveys were making it clear that the BJP would get the third position in the by-election.
The TPCC president mocked that the BJP candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was shivering and got fever after observing the survey results. He alleged Rajagopal Reddy was threatening the Congress candidate with the help of paramilitary forces. He also targeted the ruling TRS party and alleged that the ruling party had failed to build proper roads in various villages of Munugodu even after ruling the State for more than eight years.
Reminding the promises of Chief Minister KCR that he would sanction junior and degree colleges in the constituency, he alleged that the CM had made the youth of the constituency as the slaves of liquor. He also said the CM had failed to complete the pending Dindi lift irrigation project. He claimed that the ruling party did not have the intention to develop the Munugodu constituency and added that the TRS party would not complete the Dindi project even after another eight years.
He alleged that the CM had handed over the lands belonging to tribals of the constituency to the people of Telugu film industry. Claiming that a conspiracy was being hatched to orphan the tribals, Revanth alleged that both the TRS and BJP were not allowing any kind of discussions on the problems of the tribals of the State.
Commenting on the ongoing Bharat jodo Yatra of party leader Rahul Gandhi, he said the Yatra would enter Shadmagar constituency on October 30. He said they would hold a massive Mahila Garjana public meeting in Munugodu on November 1 as part of the by-election campaigning. He urged the people of the constituency to bless their party candidate Palvai Sravanthi in the by-election and ensure her grand victory. (NSS)
