Hyderabad, Aug.17 (Maxim News): As part of the Swatanthra Bharata Vajrotsavulu celebrations to mark 75 years of Independence, a blood donation camp was organised at Telangana Bhavan, the headquarters of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party here on Wednesday.
TRS MP Keshav Rao and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha jointly inaugurated the camp and appreciated all the donors for voluntarily giving the blood to save the lives of others.
MLAs Maganti Gopinath and Danam Nagendar, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Laxmi and other TRS leaders were present.
Meanwhile, following a call given by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao asking people for the donation of blood as part of the Swatanthra Bharata Vajrotsavulu celebrations, the health department is organising blood donation camps in all Assembly Constituencies across the State.
Health Minister T Harish Rao said the health department has aimed at collecting about 10,000 units of blood and the camps are being organised at all Primary Health Centres and Teaching Hospitals across the State.
