TRS MPs Stage Protest in Delhi on Second Day
Hyderabad, July 20 (Maxim News): Protesting against the rise in prices of essential commodities, GST on food items and inflation besides rising prices of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinder, the TRS MPs staged a protest on the second consecutive day on the premises of Parliament in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Soon after the session began, the TRS MPs joined other Opposition members and raised slogans in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
With the opposition parties insisting discussion on issues concerning the majority, the proceedings were not held and both the Houses were adjourned.
Raising the slogans against the union government, the TRS MPs staged their protests at the Gandhi statue on the Parliament premises.
Later, the TRS MPs led by the Rajya Sabha leader K Keshav Rao and Lok Sabha floor leader Nama Nageshwara Rao joined other opposition leaders who were also staging protest against the BJP government.
Criticising the Centre’s policies burdening the poor and the middle class, TRS MP Nageshwara Rao strongly objected to the adjournment of both the Houses, without discussing public issues raised by the Opposition parties.
“It is not right on part of the Central government to ignore the plight of people who are suffering from floods in Telangana,” he said. (Maxim News)
