TRS Party Wins in Nagarjunasagar By-Poll
Hyderabad, May 3 (Maxim News): The victory of ruling TRS candidates in the Nagarjunasagar Assembly Bye-Poll and the recent two MLC seats from Graduates constituency are more than clear indications for the party’s popularity among the people and the TRS Government’s welfare and development programs.
Both the opposition Congress and the BJP moved earth and heaven to win the Sagar Assembly seat, and the leaders of both the parties created a hype repeatedly asserting that they are sure to bag it, but tasted defeat. In the recent MLC election also, they made every effort to win the seats. But the TRS trounced both of them. As a matter of fact, one of the two seats was held by the BJP, but lost it to TRS.
The BJP, which won the Dubbaka Assembly by-election and considerable number of seats in the recent GHMC elections, has made every effort in the MLC election as also in the Sagar by-election to create an impression among the people that it is sure to win the polls, it is the only alternative to the TRS in the State and it is sure to grab power in the State after the next general elections. Apart from state leaders, even the Central Ministers campaigned vigorously in the two elections, they made several allegations against the TRS government and also personal attacks against the Chief Minister KCR, and they tried to make the people believe that the Centre is giving huge funds to the State, but the government is not utilizing them properly, that the CM is behaving in an autocratic manner, that only KCR’s family got jobs and not the people, so on and so forth.
Leaders like State BJP President Bandi Sanjay did not hesitate to make wild allegations against KCR and also talked of reserving a room for the CM in the jail. BJP leaders also indulged in false propaganda that in every welfare programme launched by the Government, Central funds are there. While a number of innovative schemes and programmes of KCR were hailed by the Centre and other States, the State BJP leaders were critical of the programmes and tried to pick holes in them. The Congress leaders were no less in criticizing the Government.
As against all these attempts and efforts made by the BJP and Congress, the people have realized the hard realities, the developments achieved and the number of welfare programmes being implemented by the Government. Which no other state thought off and the progress being achieved in the State in different fields. People have realized the fact that the Congress and TDP which ruled the united Andhra Pradesh have neglected Telangana region. People also came to know how the BJP leaders make promises repeatedly, but they could not fulfill them and the State BJP leaders including the Central Minister from the State have no voice at the Centre.
