TRS Will Be An Empty House Soon: Uttam

· Prominent TRS leaders from Manakondur join Congress

· Uttam tells KCR to speak on achievements, not ‘Mahakutami’

· Uttam slams TRS over allegations of tie-up with Andhra parties

Hyderabad, October 28: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has asked TRS leaders including caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to speak about the achievements of their government in the last four years than diverting people’s attention through criticism on Congress-TDP alliance.

“People gave TRS a mandate for five years in 2014 believing that it will fulfil all the promises that it made with them. TRS Govt achieved nothing and in fact, ruined everything in the last four-and-a-half years and in an attempt to prove himself over-smart, KCR dissolved the Assembly nine months ahead of schedule. KCR wrongly believed that his lies, cheating and deception would go unnoticed. But people are too smart and now they started grilling TRS leaders on all streets of Telangana. To divert their attention, TRS leaders, including KCR, are targeting the alliance between Congress and TDP,” Uttam Kumar Reddy said while addressing MPPs, MPTCs, Sarpanches and hundreds of other activists of Manakondur who joined the Congress party from TRS at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday.

Uttam Kumar Reddy ridiculed TRS for accusing Congress of having alliance with Andhra parties. “Does L. Ramana of TDP belong to Andhra? Does Kondadram of TJS hail from Andhra or Telangana? Where does Chada Venkat Reddy of CPI come from? Are they all not proud sons of Telangana? TRS leaders should be ashamed of themselves for making such allegations,” he said.

The TPCC Chief reminded that KCR had promised multiple times that he would not seek votes if all households of Telangana does not get tapped water supply. “TRS Govt has spent over Rs. 50,000 crore in the name of Mission Bhagiratha. But could not even supply tapped water to all households. KCR only knows how to make a promise. But he never learned how to honour that promise,” he said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said TRS regime would be remembered in history for the atrocities on Dalits, Girijans, BCs and other weaker sections and also the inhuman attitude of KCR. “Poor Dalits were given third degree torture in illegal police custody for raising voice against KCR-family backed sand mafia. Girijan farmers were booked in a false sedition case, handcuffed and chained just for seeking right price for their chilli produce. No action was taken when three Dalit youths attempted suicide in Manakondur. KCR remained a mute spectator to all these incidents and he turned so insensitive that he not moved when 63 people lost their lives in a bus accident in Kondagattu,” he said.

The TPCC Chief said that the TRS leaders, especially KCR and his son and minister K. Tarakarama Rao have stooped down to lowest level in making comments about their opponents. “It appears that KTR never learned the basic etiquette of public speaking. Both KCR and KTR wrongly believe that people like leaders who speak with arrogance and use abusive language. They need to be told that they are emerging as hate figures and people are preventing their children from listening to their speeches as it could spoil their language and manners,” he said.

Welcoming the TRS leaders and activists who joined the Congress today into the party fold, Uttam Kumar Reddy assured that they would be given all respect and recognition. Stating that thousands of leaders and workers of TRS who genuinely believed in Telangana cause have already joined Congress party he predicted that TRS would soon become an empty house. “Except for KCR family, no one will be left in TRS,” he said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy appealed the entire Congress cadre to work hard for the next 45 days to ensure party’s victory in next elections. “There is a Congress wave across Telangana State and it will form the next government on December 12,” he said amid loud cheers of party workers. (Maxim News)
