TRS will retain power in 2019 poll: Kavitha
Nizamabad: TRS MP from Nizamabad Kalvakuntla Kavitha today exuded confidence that the TRS will retain power in the ensuing 2019 general elections with the blessings of women in the State. She accused the “power hungry” Opposition parties of getting envious of the developmental programs being executed by the TRS and blaming the government for mileage.
Kavitha participated in some developmental works at Nizamabad rural area and laid foundation stone for works worth Rs 28 lakh for modernization of Nizamsagar canals D 50 to D 63 at Gundaram village. Addressing a public meeting later, the MP accused the Congress and Telugu Desam parties of resorting to misinformation campaign against the government. She also lashed out at the Opposition leaders for their rhetoric against the government which was implementing several schemes for the cause and welfare of the women. While the men and women were happy and extending full support to the government for its monumental development programs and welfare schemes, the Opposition, unable to digest development, was indulging in Noble’s campaign, she fumed.
She observed that the people are aware of the conspiracies of the jealousy Opposition leaders, who were creating hurdles to development, the MP charged. The Opposition was misguiding the people on the projects and moving courts with wrong information and making mockery of democracy, the TRS leaders said. Kavitha said besides several welfare schemes, the Chief Minister has come up with another novel scheme to help pregnant women to get Rs 12,000 assistance on child delivery along with KCR kits to be distributed from June 2. Since the government was generously offering monetary help, the women-folk and poor families are a happy lot, she opined. Kavitha said every village has KCR in the form of girl children. Kavitha also said she brought to the notice of the Chief Minister to offer any sort of monetary help in the name of women beneficiaries. Kavitha also said marriage schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak were proving handy for the poor families to perform marriages of their girls by taking financial assistance of Rs 75,116.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is aware of the women’s problems and introduced several programs of welfare including that of single woman pension from June 2 in addition to those being offered to widows, beedi workers, old aged and others, she claimed. It is the TRS government that was keeping every promise such as providing double bedroom facility free of cost to the poor to live in complete self-respect by bearing all expenditure.
