TRS won Munugodu bypoll with support of MIM & Left parties: Etala

Hyderabad, Nov.7 (NSS): Former minister and BJP MLA Etala Rajender today claimed that the ruling TRS party won the by-election in Munugodu Assembly constituency only because of the support of the MIM and Left parties. He also claimed that local police played an important role in the victory of the ruling party.

Speaking to media persons, Etala said the BJP had bloomed in the undivided Nalgonda district although despite facing a defeat in Munugodu. He said the joining of rival party leaders into the BJP would not stop in the State. He termed the TRS party as a diminishing lamp.

Heaping praises on the defeated party candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, he said Reddy had behaved in a dignified manner even after losing the election. He claimed that a total of 18,900 TRS party leaders and workers worked hard for the victory of their party candidate and added that the ruling party also deployed one SI for every five villages of the constituency.

The BJP leader asked the ruling party leaders if it was not true that it spent hundreds of crores of rupees in GHMC elections. He mocked that the CM KCR had kept his faith in money and police after the 2014 Assembly elections. He said the BJP would also bloom in Khammam district in the next Assembly elections. (NSS)
