Addressing a mammoth gathering after unfurling national Tri-Colour from the precincts of historic Golconda Fort here today to mark 72nd Independence Day Celebrations, Chief Minister said he was proud to do so for fifth consecutive time. The State has set a new record of sorts by coming up with an ideal role model in development for the country. “We have taken up plans to strengthen the neglected sectors by implementing plans to help every person and welfare of the poor and deprived classes. Telangana is developing on a fast pace and helping the nation to rebuild for growth”, he said.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Parliament recently, Telangana State was witnessing fast growth in all sectors, the Chief Minister said the youngest state is moving ahead with unique schemes and development programs to reach the unreached and help the masses. KCR said his government has been making use of its resources and strengths to pave a new way for future generations to make better living. Without wasting time for the past four years, the State government has been making efficient and synergetic efforts to ensure that the State becomes a role model in many sectors to the country after Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation, he said.

Stating that the Agriculture sector was rejuvenated with all the needed support to farmers, KCR said Telangana was only State in the country to come up with Rythu Bandhu scheme and now launching Rythu Bhima program to help the family members with Rs 5 lakh in case of death of farmers. “We have been supplying 24-hour power to the farm sector and will soon supply 5,500 paddy-sowing machines at the rate of 10 each to a Mandal in all the 31 districts”, he said, adding that the farmers were facing pathetic conditions in the undivided State.

The Chief Minister also claimed that in four spells, the government has waived off Rs 17,000 crore of crop loans — a major reprieve for the farming community besides filing PD Act cases against those selling spurious seed and fertilizers. He also said Dharani website was launched for land records in a transparent manner and giving Rs 8,000 per acre per annum towards crop investment.

The Chief Minister also cautioned that some inimical forces were continuing attempts to sow divisions among people and destroy the unity in the society. There are some, who, only for political gains, have been trying to create hurdles in welfare programs, but we are facing these challenges with strength. The government will not allow the hard-earned development and progress to be undermined by such forces,” he added.
