Telangana, to give a boost to civil aviation in the State as well as the country, has decided to cut VAT on aviation turbine fuel (ATF) from the current 16 per cent to 1 per cent.
The State will also provide airport express connectivity with a multimodal transport mechanism, including Metro rail, said Industries Minister KT Rama Rao. This will have an outlay of Rs 4,650 crore, he said.
Telangana will also come out with a new industrial park for aerospace in Shamshabad.
