The TSAS allegations surfaced through a statement posted on the association’s X handle and WhatsApp channel on Saturday evening. In the statement, the student body levelled several accusations against the Vice Chancellor and questioned decisions taken by the administration. The association said these actions could affect the functioning and reputation of the institution.

According to TSAS, the Vice Chancellor allegedly handed over contracts of the university messes to agencies that had earlier faced criticism. The student body claimed these agencies had been criticised for providing poor quality food to students staying in the university hostels. TSAS also alleged that these agencies were allowed to operate again by merely altering their names.

Meanwhile, the association demanded immediate cancellation of the current tenders related to the university messes. It also urged the RGUKT Basar management to invite fresh tenders without delay. TSAS said such steps are necessary to ensure transparency and maintain proper standards in services provided to students.

The student body also accused the Vice Chancellor of allegedly abusing power and misusing public money. According to TSAS, this was done by creating fake posts in the administrative wing of the university. Therefore, the association demanded action against the Vice Chancellor over these alleged irregularities.

At the same time, TSAS asked the government to fill several vacant posts in both teaching and non teaching departments. The association said these posts have remained vacant for long periods and their recruitment is necessary for the smooth functioning of the university.

The association further appealed to the university management to stop threatening or harassing students who raise questions about alleged irregularities. It also asked the authorities not to target students who question wrongdoing by officials.
