TSNAB Attached An Illegal Acquired Property Through The Sale Of Drugs Worth Rs 5.2 Cr

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (Maxim News): Telangana State Anti Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) along with Golconda Police, has seized 23.405 Kgs of Ganja and Rs.40.3 Lakhs cash on 22.08.2023 under the NDPS Act and attached illegally acquired property total worth of 5.2 Crores

These illegal properties were acquired by the accused who were arrested in the sale of drugs 1. Kalapathi Gowtham Singh (Accused no.1), Ganja Peddler age 21 years (24-02-2002), Occ: Business, R/o Nanakramguda, Sherlingampally R.R. Dist., TS State. 2. K.Nithu Bai, (Accused no. 2)
Ganja Peddler age 45 yrs, Occ: Ganja seller & Kirana Shop Business, R/o Nanakramguda, Sherlingampally, R.R. Dist., TS State 3. Madhu Bai, (Accused no. 3) Ganja Peddler age 60 years R/o Nanakramguda, Sherlingampally R.R Dist., TS State. 4. Chappalku Neha Bai (Accused no. 8)
Ganja Peddler age: 24 years, occ: House Wife / Ganja Peddler, R/o Nanakramguda, Sherlingampally R.R Dist., TS State.

All the above persons A-1, A-2, and A-3 were arrested on 22.08.2023 and A-8 was arrested on 26.08.2023 for their involvement in the trafficking of 23.4 Kgs of Ganja under NDPS Act, and remanded to judicial custody. The minimum imprisonment prescribed under Section 20 (b) (ii) (C) is 10 years.

TSNAB identified immovable properties of accused K. Nithu Bai i.e., G+2 house at Gandhi Nagar, Langer House, and other G+2 house at Rajeev Nagar, Gachibowli which are acquired by her through sale proceedings of Ganja are worth about 4 Crores and also identified two more costly vehicles. (07) Bank accounts containing deposits of Rs.78.62 Lakhs are being frozen. All the properties are attached under the NDPS Act. Further investigation is being done to identify other properties of accused persons acquired through the sale proceedings of Ganja. The property attachment process was completed and ratification orders from the competent authority under SAFEMA & NDPS Act. This is the first case of attachment of property under NDPS Act by TSNAB. A total of 40.3 Lakhs cash, 78.62 Lakhs of money in bank accounts, (01) Two-wheeler vehicle (KTM Duke), and (03) buildings having a market value of 4 crores have been frozen.

The said initiation was done under the supervision of Sri Gummi Chakravarthy, SP (OPS & EAST), TSNAB with the efforts of T. Sivannaidu DSP, TSNAB, Ch. Sridhar, DSP, TSNAB, P. Ramesh Reddy, Inspector of Police, TSNAB, P. Venkateshwarlu, Inspector TSNAB, N. Venkateshwarlu, Inspector of Police, SHO, Golconda PS and staff of TSNAB. (Maxim News)
