Hyderabad, March 17 (Maxim News): Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has won the prestigious award for achieving 5.50 KMPL under Highest KMPL Category in fuel efficiency in Mofussil Services among the STUs having fleet strength between 4001- 10000 for the year 2015-16.
By achieving this KMPL, Corporation has saved 9.40 Lakh litres of HSD oil and Rs. 6.05 crores in terms of amount. It is pertinent to note that of the 67 Mofussil depots, 49 depots fuel performance is over and above 5.50 KMPL.
Even earlier years the corporation got national level awards for fuel conservation, safety and productivity etc., several times. It is a great honour and moment for the corporation for having bagged the prestigious awards for the consecutive 2nd year for fuel conservation after the formation of Telangana State.
This was achieved only because of the highest level of commitment, dedicated work and team work of all the staff starting from drivers, maintenance staff, supervisors and officers.
On this occasion Managing Director congratulates all the staff who displayed their capability in achieving highest levels of excellence in the esteemed organization.
The award was received by G.V.Ramana Rao, Managing Director, TSRTC together with V. Venkateshwarlu , Chief Mechanical Engineer from Sanjay M, President, ASRTU at the awards presentation function held here at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi by ASRTU during its 61st Annual General body Meeting.
