TSRTC Earns Rs. 12 Crores In A Day

Hyderabad, Jan 16 (Maxim News): On the occasion of Sankranti festival, a large number of people have gone to their homes as holidays have been declared for educational institutions. 52.78 lakh people traveled in TSRTC buses on 13th of this month, the TSRTC received a record income of Rs. 12 crores on that one day.

Officials said, on the other hand, the number of zero tickets issued to women has exceeded Rs. 12 crores.

On 11th of this month 28 lakh people, on 12th over 28 lakhs people and 31 lakh on 13th of this month have disclosed that they used free travel.

The TSRTC had anticipated that the number of women traveling during the festival would increase significantly. First, it is expected to arrange 4,484 special buses. However, the officials said that 4,400 special buses were run on the January 11, 12 and 13. Due to heavy traffic, so far, a total of 6261 special buses have been run. The passengers were taken to their destinations without any untoward incident.  (Maxim News)
