Two arrested for posting abusive videos and pictures in WhatsApp group

Hyderabad, Feb 25 (Maxim News): Cyber Crime Police of Rachakonda arrest two persons namely Kandadi Raghupal Reddy age: 35yrs., Occ: Driver R/o Boduppal, and SiddamSrider Age: 35yrs., Occ: Driver R/ M.K. Nager, Near O.U. Campus, Hyderabad for posting adult content videos in WhatsApp group of Ola Uber cabs drivers cum owner’s association.

E. Srinivas, Age: 40 yrs., R/o Bank Colony, Hastinapuram, L.B.Nager is the admin of the WhatsApp group called “TCDOA Telangana Car Driver Owners Association’’. created WhatsApp group for all driver friends to share their problem and communication among the drivers.

There are 111 numbers in this group.The accused namely Kandadi Raghupal Reddy age: 35yrs., Occ: Driver R/o Boduppal, and SiddamSrider Age: 35yrs., Occ: Driver R/ M.K. Nager, Near O.U. Campus, Hyderabad have posted two adult content videos in this group. All the group members have objected for the posting as the content is very explicit in nature and their mobiles are accessible to their family members including children.

As such on on february 14 the administrator of the WhatsApp group has lodged complaint on which case vide FIR No. 44/2017 u/s 292 r/w 34 IPC, 67,67(A) of IT Act was registered and taken up investigation.

Both the arrested accused have confessed the offence and stated that, they posted the content just for the sake of fun. (02) mobile phones seized from the accused which were used for posting the videos.

The case is being investigated by Mohammad Riyazuddin, Inspector of Police, Cyber Cell, Rachakonda; under the supervision of D. Janaki, Addl. DCP (Crimes), Rachakonda. (Maxim News)
