Two Killed, 20 Injured In A Road Accident On HYD-Vijayawada Highway
Hyderabad, June 4 (Maxim News): Two people, including the driver of a private bus and a passenger, died after it went out of control and crashed into a truck ahead on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway at Choutuppal on the city outskirts on Wednesday.
As per available information, the incident occurred around 5 am, when the driver of the bus, who is suspected to have failed to notice the stationary truck which had broken down and parked on the roadside at Khalapur, Police suspect the driver had dozed off, resulting in the crash.
The bus driver and a woman passenger who was reportedly seated in the front seats suffered multiple bleeding injuries and died in the accident.
On receiving information, the Choutuppal police reached the spot and took up the investigation.
Both the truck and the bus were badly damaged due to the impact of the collision. The police had to use an earthmover to remove them.
The incident led to mild traffic congestion on the busy road between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. However, the police quickly cleared the vehicle involved in the crash and the traffic. (Maxim News)
