Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma said “Alai Balai means unity.  A program that reflects our traditions.  The rural cultural traditions of Telangana are very beautiful.  Our culture is to get everyone together.  People of all religions celebrate “Vijayadasami” together.  Vijayadashami is the victory of good over evil.  That victory is possible with unity, he said.

This is the 19th edition of the “Alai Balai’ program,  Bandaru Dattatreya’s daughter Vijayalakshmi is continuing the ‘Alai Balai’ program. In this programme several states and political leaders of Telugu states were present. This year the organizers have also invited film celebrities.  meals were arranged with Telangana traditional dishes.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that Bandaru Dattatreya, who is respected beyond politics, has been organizing the “Alai Balai’ program for 19 years.  “The endangered arts of Telangana are being presented to future generations.  Alai Balai inspired the formation of political JAC in Telangana movement.  it made us unite for Telangana by putting aside the agendas for the flags, they all raised their voices for Telangana. Dussehra means Jammi tree and Palapitta come to mind.  “Alai Balai’ means Bandaru Dattatreya.  Dattatreya’s daughter Vijayalakshmi continues the legacy of Telangana cultural traditions.  it is the responsibility of all of us to preserve the cultural traditions, he said.

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu attended and spoke.  This program should be passed on to future generations.  Festivals have a social culture.  This Alai Balai is the determination to stick together.  Unity of family, region and country should be achieved.  We should leave the western culture behind and follow the method of unity that we think we should follow, he said.

Former Governor Vidyasagar Rao spoke, “Alai Balai is a symbol of brotherhood in the Preamble of the Constitution,  With the arrival of governors of many states, the whole country seems to have come down.  Alai Bali should be extended to the districts of Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh as well, he said

Union Minister and State BJP President, G.Kishan Reddy spoke, Alai Bali is a great program that unites people from all walks of life.  It is a great thing to meet in such programs no matter how political.  During elections, focus should be on politics and then on welfare of poor people.  But currently it is lacking in Telangana.  For the past few years, political parties have been criticizing each other in a way that cannot be spoken.  On the occasion of dussehra, I wish the gods to bring change in them.  Spoken language is not accepted.  Change must come.  In the coming days, it is not appropriate for political leaders to talk so that people will hate them, he said.  (Maxim News)
