Two women found dead in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 09: Two women were murdered and their bodies dumped at different places on the city outskirts in separate cases.

In the first case, the body of a woman aged around 26 was found in a pond at Shameerpet on Sunday afternoon. The locals found the body in the Ponelu Cheruvu in Shameerpet police station limits and alerted the police. The police with the help of swimmers pulled out the body. “The hands of the woman were tied at the back leading to suspicion that the woman was murdered somewhere and the body dumped the body in the pond water. There are no external injuries indicating the woman was strangulated to death,” said Shameerpet Inspector, V Sudheer Kumar.

The body is highly decomposed and the police are awaiting the postmortem examination report to ascertain the exact cause of death. All the police stations in the State have been informed about the find of the body to know if any woman was missing since last few days anywhere. “After the woman is identified then we can go ahead in the case,” said the Inspector.

In the other case, the police found a highly decomposed body of a woman in an open area in survey number 126 in Narsingi on Sunday afternoon. The body of the woman aged around 38 bore head injuries. “The assailants had thrown a big boulder on the head of the woman resulting in injuries and subsequent death. The body is decomposed indicating she was murdered three to four days ago,” said Narsingi Inspector, K Shiva Kumar.

The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem examination. A case is registered under Section 302 of IPC and the police are making efforts to identify the woman and nab the assailants.
