UG Counselling For Agriculture, Veterinary And Horticultural Courses Begins
Hyderabad, Aug.7 (Maxim News): The combined counselling for admissions into undergraduate courses in Agriculture, Veterinary and Horticultural being conducted by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) at the University Auditorium in Rajendranagar here today.
The University Vice Chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao formerly inaugurated counselling by handing over the admission letter to Ms. Manisha who secured 411 rank in Telangana EAMCET-2019 and opted to join Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH), at college of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar.
After inauguration of the counselling, Dr Praveen Rao, advised to the candidates and their parents about prospects & opportunities in agricultural courses. Agriculture is the very important course which serves the 65 percent of the population who are mainly dependent on agriculture for their livelihood, he added.
He explained that in agricultural sector several job opportunities are coming for the agricultural graduates who are successfully completed their course at UG and PG level. For the coming next 10 years he quoted a survey done by the international organisation there is a demand more than a lakh agricultural graduates are required for the food sector in India and Globally he said. The demand for agriculture graduates is growing year by year he said.
Candidates who got the admission into agricultural courses are blessed, because they entering in to a noble profession which caters the needs of the farmers as well as provide food for the people and may remove poverty in the society he added.
Dr Rao, has stated that, within a short span of time PJTSAU has ranked one of the best agricultural university in the country. In south India PJTSAU has stood 1st among all agricultural universities and in all over the country it ranked 3rd best agricultural university according to the ranks given by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. VC has announced that from the next year on wards one more agricultural college will be start at Adilabad.
Dr S Sudheer kumar, Registrar PJTSAU, Dr. J Sathyanarayana, Dean of Agriculture, other officers from veterinary and horticultural universities Dr. Narasimhareddy, Dr.M. Padma were also graced the occasion. (Maxim News)
