Union Budget 2026–27 Focuses on National Interest and Welfare: Kishan Reddy
New Delhi / Hyderabad, Feb. 1 (Maxim News): Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday made key remarks on the Union Budget 2026–27.
Kishan Reddy said the budget prioritises national interest, public welfare, and national security.
Speaking to scribes, Kishan Reddy stated that the Union Budget gives equal importance to all states. Reddy confirmed that the Centre has approved the Hyderabad Metro Phase-2 project.
In addition, he said the Central government will provide funds for the Musi River rejuvenation project.
Moreover, the minister highlighted that the budget introduces several important reforms. He added that the government designed the budget to ensure justice for all sections of society.
On the political front, Kishan Reddy commented on the phone tapping case. He urged former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to cooperate fully with the SIT investigation. He also said KCR must personally respond to the allegations made against him.
Meanwhile, Kishan Reddy spoke about Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He said she is set to present the Union Budget for the ninth time.
According to national media reports, Sitharaman plans to break long-standing traditions in her budget presentation.
Furthermore, reports suggest that the Union Budget 2026 will focus mainly on Part-A, rather than Part-B, of the budget documents. This shift marks a significant change in the budget approach. (Maxim News)
