Delhi/Hyderabad, July 16 (Maxim News): The Union Cabinet has approved the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana scheme.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav revealed that the scheme will be implemented with ₹24,000 crores. The cabinet has also approved an investment of ₹7,000 crores for NLCIL for renewable energy projects, and ₹20,000 crores for NTPC.
He said that the scheme announced in the Union Budget will consolidate 36 existing schemes and will promote crop diversification and sustainable farming practices.
Explaining the decisions taken in the Union Cabinet, the Union Minister said that the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana will increase post-harvest storage and improve irrigation facilities.
It will increase agricultural productivity, and 1.7 crore farmers are expected to benefit from this program. (Maxim News)
