Hyderabad, Dec.19 (Maxim News): The State government was planning to set up some 94 urban forest parks for people to enjoy with their families.
Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, along with Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said this while inaugurating Masidgadda urban forest Park near Hyderabad. The park located between Pedda Golconda and Thukkuguda villages give better atmosphere for city people to spend weekends and holidays. The minister said the HMDA has set up 60 such parks and 34 in other towns. Of 31 parks, 17 were opened in the HMDA area, 14 were being used in other districts. Parks in Hyderabad have improved facilities, he said.
After achieving statehood for Telangana region, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was giving priority to urban forests. The urban forest Parks were attracting people to spend time in better atmosphere. These projects will prove handy for city people to relax, he added.
