US Consulate Honors Women Entrepreneurs in Telangana, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh

US Consulate | Hyderabad, December 8 (Maxim News): The U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad, along with the Kalinga Institute of Information and Technology, Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI), proudly celebrates the graduation of women entrepreneurs from Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Telangana who successfully completed the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program.

A capstone ceremony was held on Friday, December 8th at KIIT-TBI, Bhubaneswar, to acknowledge this significant achievement.

US Consulate | Empowering Women through AWE:

The AWE program, spanning over six months, empowers women entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the business world. Through a unique blend of online learning modules, interactive workshops, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to successful business leaders, the program equips women with the tools they need to succeed.

A Journey of Transformation:

Over 100 aspiring women entrepreneurs participated in the program, receiving invaluable guidance in areas such as strategic planning, marketing, financial management, and business network development. This transformative journey has enabled them to gain confidence, build their businesses, and contribute to the economic landscape of their regions.

Recognition and Encouragement:

Speaking at the ceremony, U.S. Consul General Jennifer Larson expressed her appreciation for the graduates and highlighted the untapped potential of women’s entrepreneurial leadership in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Telangana. “Seeing all of you here today is a testament to the immense potential women have to make a significant impact on India’s formal economy,” she remarked.

The success of the AWE program rests on the strong collaboration between the U.S. Consulate General, KIIT-TBI, and several academic institutions. Special recognition was given to Women’s University in Tirupati, Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, and St. Francis College in Hyderabad for their invaluable contribution as campus hosts for the AWE cohorts.
