Uttam alleges KCR’s ‘match-fixing’ with Election Commission
Hyderabad, Sept 6 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao did some ‘match fixing’ with Election Commission of India to conduct early polls in the State.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi on Thursday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said how KCR could say with confidence that Assembly elections for Telangana would be held along with four other States. He pointed that KCR, while addressing a press conference after meeting the Governor today, has claimed that he had already spoken to Chief Election Commissioner regarding early elections. He said when there was suspense among all political parties with regard to dissolution of Assembly, KCR’s claim on his interaction with EC raises strong suspicion of some ‘match fixing’.
Uttam Kumar Reddy ridiculed KCR’s claims on Telangana achieving high growth rate. Under TRS regime, he said, Telangana has emerged on top in corruption, farmers’ suicide, debts and sale of liquor. He said KCR’s decision to dissolve Assembly nine months ahead of schedule was like ‘digging own grave’. He alleged that KCR family has looted the wealth of Telangana and indulged in large scale corruption. Therefore, he reiterated that next elections will not be “Congress Vs TRS”. But they will be “KCR Family Vs People of Telangana” and the latter would certainly win. “KCR has shattered people’s dream of Telangana and now the same people would turn KCR’s nightmare of defeat in next elections into a reality,” he said.
The TPCC chief also condemned KCR for the derogatory language he used against the Congress leaders including former Prime Ministers. He said KCR’s language and tone not only reflects his arrogance, but they also show that the TRS President was trembling with fear of defeat into the hands of Congress. “Time has come for the people to realise how they were cheated by KCR and his family members. People should teach a fitting lesson to TRS in next elections in such a manner that no one should dare to cheat people of Telangana anytime in future,” he said. (Maxim News)
