Hyderabad, March 5 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday said that the Congress party did social justice by nominating Sabavath Ramulu Naik, a Girijan, as its candidate in MLC elections for Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates constituency.

Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka, was addressing the party leaders and workers in a meeting through Zoom App.

He said that the no party has ever made a SC or ST leader as its candidate from the Graduates constituencies. In the current elections, all parties have nominated Reddy community leaders as their candidates from Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates constituency. However, he said with the intention of doing social justice, Congress president Sonia Gandhi nominated Ramulu Naik, a Girijan, as party’s candidate from a general category seat. Therefore, he said it was the duty of the entire Congress cadre to work hard for the victory of Ramulu Naik in the MLC elections.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said TRS MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy had no moral right to seek votes in the MLC elections. He said Rajeshwar Reddy, in the last six years as MLC, did nothing either for the welfare of graduates or the unemployed youth. He said that TRS leaders were now trying to win elections by spending ill-gotten money and supplying liquor among voters.
