Uttam Asks Party Leaders And workers To Help People

Hyderabad, May 8 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday appealed to the party leaders and workers to take up relief works on a large scale for the Covid patients of the state immediately.

In a statement, he said that All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi and former president and MP Rahul Gandhi have instructed the party leaders and workers to help the Covid patients in view of the prevailing crisis arising out of the Covid pandemic.

Holding the Central and state government as solely responsible for the present severe cirisis, Uttam said that Covid second wave has been spreading in the country with lightning speed due to lack of their foresight. The central and state governments did not heed the advices of the scientists, health experts and opposition leaders on the spread of second wave of Covid in the country and neglected the preventive measures. Due to their negligence the country was made to hang its head in shame before the world.

Criticizing the BJP and TRS governments at the Centre and state levels for fishing in the troubled waters by holding elections during the pandemic period, he said that every day more than 4 lakh new positive cases have been recorded and more than 4000 are dying. Due to the election politics of BJP and TRS Corona Virus has spread with lightning speed endangering the lives of crores of people.

Ridiculing the statements of chief secretary Somesh Kumar that Covid situation was under control in the state, Uttam said that there was no similarity between the statistics being stated by the government and the actual numbers. (Maxim News)
