Uttam Directed Construction Companies To Speed Up Kaleshwaram Project Repair Works

Karimnagar/Hyderabad, June 7 (Maxim News): Minister for Irrigation Uttam Kumar Reddy has ordered the construction companies to speed up the repair work in the affected areas of the Kaleshwaram project.

After the end of the election code.  Annaram, Medigadda, and Sundilla barrages were inspected.  On this occasion, the Minister said, “Due to the Election Code, there was no review on Kaleswaram.  “Medigadda Shriveled during the Indian rule. If the project built after borrowing Rs. 94 thousand crores collapses, the current Congress government will have to pay interest on it.

When Congress came to power, we asked the National Dam Safety Authority to look into it.  The expert committee made some suggestions.  It was concluded that if the gates had been lifted as soon as the Madigadda collapsed, such damage would not have happened.  She said that the gates of the three barrages of Annaram, Medigadda and Sundilla should be lifted after doing some repairs at the damaged places.  Came to inspect the works.  Work is progressing rapidly at Medigadda and Annaram.  As the Sundilla barrage work is progressing slowly, we have been asked to speed it up.  We have ordered the construction companies to complete the work before the rains.  We will build a dam at Tummadihatti, said Uttam.  (Maxim News)
