Uttam Inspects Check Dam In Singaram Village

Hyderabad, May 23 (Maxim News): TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy today visited the Check dam site in Moosivoddu Singaram village in Palakeedu mandal sanctioned at a cost of Rs 7.30 crores and funded by NABARD. He was surprised to see that the check dam work had been started at a site which is 300 metres upstream of the site where it has been sanctioned.

He said that it was highly irregular and against all rules and added that the entire village was against the construction of the Check dam at the site where work had been commenced. He said that the Singaram Gram Panchayat had passed an official Gram Panchayat resolution asking for the check dam work to be stopped at the present site and for the shifting of the site downstream. The MP announced that he would demand an ACB, Vigilance inquiry in the matter. (Maxim News)
